Jo-Ann Lempert
Independent Trustee
As a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant with over 23 years of experience, Jo-Ann brings expertise in complex transactions under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises to her role as a Trustee of Minto Apartment REIT. Jo-Ann serves on both the Audit Committee and the Compensation, Governance and Nominating Committee.
A Partner with MNP LLP, Jo-Ann leads the Real Estate and Construction Practice and the Public Companies Practice for the province of Québec. Prior to joining MNP in 2011, she owned a consulting practice, offering services to corporations, accounting firms, and universities.
Jo-Ann has served as a Trustee of Summit Industrial Income REIT (TSX: SMU), Inovalis Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX:INO) Enterprise REIT (private), while chairing all of their audit committees.
After receiving a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University with a major in Accounting & Entrepreneurship, Jo-Ann completed the Chartered Accountancy Program at Concordia University and the Institute of Corporate Directors Program from the Rotman School of Business and is recognized as a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant.
