At Minto Apartment REIT, we’re proud to share that last year we exceeded our energy reduction target, cutting consumption by 14% compared to our 2019 baseline — that’s 26.8 million ekWh saved!
We also reduced carbon emissions by 16%, thanks to smart investments in:
• AI-powered Building Automation Systems
• Duct sealing for improved airflow
• Garage lighting controls that balance safety and efficiency
These efforts are more than numbers — they’re part of our commitment to building a resilient, sustainable future for our residents, communities, and planet.

Five departments—construction, operations, site management, marketing, and leasing—collaborated to transform this vision into vibrant homes that strengthen the community.

At Minto Apartment REIT, sustainability is a standard we build into every property. As of the end of 2024, 62% of our portfolio is certified under the Certified Rental Building Program (CRBP), a third-party verification of environmental management, property operations, and maintenance excellence.
